Back-to-school time is here, and that means driving young ones or yourself to classes. Is your car running the way it should? While a driver might not have a fall season maintenance checklist, the owner's manual details when service comes due. Oil and filter changes usually come up every 5,000 miles, but there could be some other work to perform.
Oil is only one fluid a car relies on, so why not have all the fluids checked. Flush old fluids on time to avoid problems and have the connecting lines and hoses checked. Also worth checking, are the brakes and tires. A tire rotation affords a chance for closer tire, brake, and wheel inspections.
Batteries, lights, and windshield wipers don't last forever. Neither do belts. Have these items inspected before they suffer too much wear and tear.
